Parks Tennis is a voluntary organisation dedicated to promoting the game of tennis for children around Ireland. It originally began as Dublin Parks Tennis in 1977, the brainchild of Irish Junior Tennis Champion, Tom Shelly, and catered for 700 children.
In 1990, Parks Tennis Ireland was established as a co-operative venture between the national body - Tennis Ireland and Dublin Parks Tennis League Ltd.
